Weekly Meal Roundup!

Hello Lovelies!

Long time, no talk. As usual. I have absolutely zero excuses for this one, other than life with two kids is HECK-tic.

But I wanted to hop on real quick and link the recipes I've been making for our family this week, and the one's I plan to make for the rest of the week. My goal will be to get this blog up Monday mornings from here on out, that way anyone who meal plans, or shops on Monday's like I do can check out what we've got planned!

Monday's we typically go to the gym and then to the grocery store immediately afterwards, but we had family in town until the afternoon, so that didn't happen until Tuesday morning, so we just raided the fridge and made what we had ingredients for.

B: Eggs & yogurt
L: Out with family
D: Cabbage Pancakes

We almost always have the ingredients for cabbage pancakes in our fridge. I add broccoli stems to the shredded mix, and we made it Monday with quinoa because we were out of rice. Camden LOVES them, and Harrison tolerates them, but only if we give him the "spicy sauce" and rice/quinoa.

B: Cereal
L: Me? Leftovers, Boys? PB&J on a whole wheat tortilla with veggie straws. That's their all-time favorite meal.
D: Chic-Fil-A. We had to run some errands before our small group tonight so swung by CFA on the way there. Another one of the kid's all-time favorite meals.

B: Eggs, Yogurt, Fruit
L: Me? Salad. Boys? Either Mac & Cheese, or PB&J
D: Turkey Blackbean Burgers with Garlic Roasted Broccoli

We get a lot of our recipes from the website BudgetBytes.com, it's a great resource for feeding your family on a budget!

B: Eggs, Cereal
L: Leftovers. (We almost always eat leftovers for lunch, so in future weeks I may just leave this category out)
D: Honey Mustard Chicken Avocado Bacon Salad.

I'm hoping the kids either like the salad or at the very least the salad toppings since Camden LOVES avocado, and Harrison LOVES chicken.

B: Eggs, Fruit
L: Leftovers, PB&J
D: Philly Cheesesteaks & Ghee Sauteed Cabbage

We've found that dairy makes Camden's skin break out pretty bad, so we're experimenting with Ghee instead of butter for this recipe. Cabbage we always keep on hand.

S A T U R D A Y

Saturday's we typically don't do a formal breakfast. I might have a clif bar, the kids might eat leftovers, who really knows with this one. This week I don't have anything special planned, so I'm going to leave that one off of this day.

L: Sandwiches, Salad, Snacks
D: Everyday Roast Chicken & Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes.

B: Cereal
L/D: Clean out the fridge day. I may thaw a whole chicken to make something with for Memorial Day, but I haven't really thought of that. I typically meal plan on Sunday nights.

Alright, That's it... There's what the McNear's will be eating all week.

  1. Clean out the fridge days are the best!!! In my house, we call them "leftover feasts" :)
